The International arm of AMPI, through the AMPI Global Council, has been busy this year reaching out to real estate associations around the world.
Since the Covid pandemic, foreigners have been flocking to Mexico to enjoy our relaxed lifestyle, beautiful beaches and great weather. As such, Mexican real estate is well and truly on the international map.
The AMPI Global Council is making itself known, and people are listening. By connecting with real estate associations around the world, we are able to offer our services and provide important information about buying real estate in Mexico, through local foreign agents.
For the first part of the year we organized the signing of MOUs (Memorandum of Understanding) with real estate associations in the United States, Canada and Spain.
As of June 2022 we have held held 6 online Trade Missions and have attended the Colombian Real Estate Congress, expanding our international connections, learning about new products and destinations and informing agents from around the world about Mexico and the benefits of investing in our booming property market.
Our online Trade Missions this year include the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), Greater San Diego Association of Realtors (SDAR), Texas Realtors (TAR), Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR), French speaking members of the World Property Business Club (WPBC) in Europe, as well as the Austin Board of Realtors (ABoR). Members of AMPI Global Council attended international real estate training sessions in Barcelona, Spain in July 2022.
By connecting with international agents we have fostered business opportunities between members of the different associations. We have discussed their markets, economies and how to do business in their countries and informed them of the range of opportunities available for foreign investors in Mexico.
We encourage all agents to attend International Trade Missions when possible: who knows when one of your local clients wants to invest overseas? By understanding international property markets, as an agent you can add value to your business and potentially help your clients buy and sell overseas, at the same time earning an additional income from international referral fees.
