About us

Currently home to approximately 5000 members, the Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios, A.C., AMPI, as per the Spanish acronym, is the principal representative body for real estate practitioners in Mexico. AMPI brings together brokers, agents and other professionals associated with the real estate industry Mexico wide.

WHAT WE DO

We are a non-government organization that represents the real estate profession in Mexico. We strive for excellence in the Mexican real estate industry, providing national industry standards, best practices, an ethics code, ongoing education and certification for real estate professionals to better serve the public and protect the interests of real estate buyers and sellers. We undertake market research and provide industry related reports and statistics, provide courses to upskill our members and organize local and national trade missions, webinars and networking opportunities for the benefit of our regional, national and international members.

CODE OF ETHICS

AMPI is guided by our Code of Ethics. AMPI’s Code of Ethics embodies the guidelines for ethical conduct on the part of our members. In summary, our code ensures we continually provide a professional service, always act in good faith, respect the privacy of our clients and that we represent their best interest at all times.

AMPI’S LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

AMPI’s national leadership team is made up of 21 Directors, representing each strategic area, or division, of business as well as 14 Coordinators.

AMPI International, the division tasked with expanding AMPI’s reach on a global scale, is lead by Gabriela Chargoy. The division is comprised of national Global Councils, with representatives from each AMPI section.

Global Council members provide information and organize training on international real estate topics for their peers, encouraging section members to connect with realtors from different countries and to promote Mexico to a wider audience. This is done through International Trade Missions and webinars designed to introduce Mexican real estate agents to their counterparts in other countries and for Mexican practitioners to learn about foreign markets and to make valuable contacts.

HOW TO JOIN AMPI INTERNATIONAL

As a foreign real estate practitioner, to become an AMPI International member you must:

● Be a certified real estate practitioner in your own country (where certification applies)
● Pay annual membership dues of US$50.00
● Consent to adhering to the AMPI Code of Ethics when conducting business in Mexico
● Acknowledge that AMPI reserves the right not to renew AMPI International memberships

The CCIE AMPI (CCIE Centro de Capacitación Investigación y Estadística) provides training to its members through a variety of graduate courses, workshops and seminars, as well as Facebook Live meetings and other tools to boost your knowledge and increase your client base and your income.

CCIE AMPI focuses on education in the real estate industry and acknowledges experience and expertise through various designations and certifications awarded by CONOCER, a branch of the Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP).
